We went here at lunchtime on March 23, 2024 and were really disappointed by the terrible service. The person standing at the counter (maybe the boss?) he pointed us into the inner room. But before I could sit down, a guy (perhaps the manager?) told me to wait outside. More than half an hour later, seeing that they showed no interest, I asked and they said they couldnt arrange it. If they didnt want to serve, they should have said so from the beginning. Please consider coming to this restaurant.

I had the trio of antipasti (roast tomatoes, anchovy pie and marinated zucchini) which were tasty but swimming in oil. I then had the baked salt cod but I was unable to eat this as it was drowning in oil. My wife had the liver pate which was also very oily. The service was poor with the waiters forgetting our wine order and standing around smoking rather than attending to their customers. To be fair, when we relayed to the boss how disappointed we were in the food and service he apologised, took one of the starters off the bill and gave us a complementary drink. Nonetheless, we will not be returning.

I have been to a dozen restaurants in Rome but this was my favorite. The hummus was refreshing, the Jewish-style artichokes nice and crispy, the mains were great, and the homemade cheesecake was out of this world. Will definitely visit again! The 3.8 avg rating does not reflect reality! Lots of other places that are rated higher don t even play in the same league.

So disappointing! We had the fried artichoke (it was good, although very greasy) and the hummus with falafel (absolutely tasteless, probably the worst Ive ever had). Our waiter couldnt be bothered and was even rude. After the disappointing apperitivo we decided to leave and have dinner elsewhere. At this point they brought us bread to the table - we were already finished with our dish and didnt eat it but they still charged us 6 euro for it! They tried to explain that it was a mistake in the bill and this is actually a service charge but I am not so sure. Water is also paid. Overall wouldnt recommend at all.

The artichokes both Jewish style and Roman style are worth going here for. The baccala was interesting but not entirely pleasing. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. The crowd included some locals but mostly tourists.

Food was ok. Some dishes are good- but - The carpaccio definitely had something wrong with it (in addition to the small hair it had in it) - was 100% rancid. The people behind us had it and it smelled great- ours was absolutely inedible. Watch out for the still water trap. When we ordered still water they brought it but it was obviously refilled tap water (the seals were already broken in the water (but they put on a good show making it look like they are opening it freshly- but it s a show-unfortunately, too many times) hopefully with an honest review they change their policy. Another one of our table guests had 2 short hairs in their food, too. Uh.

The food was quite good. Sitting outside is quite nice (indoors seemed a bit stuffy) if you do not might that all tables and chairs tip slightly to the side due to the uneven ground. I did not like that the bill was brought without asking for it, even before we were finished with our drinks, and the waiter told us several times tips only in cash - seemed a bit pushy.

Service was lacking, only one waiter present for about 15 tables though he really tried. The food however was expensive and of poor quality, ordered the antipasti of cheese and meat, with 2 bruschetta, it came to over 30 euro with only a few slices of poor quality ham and thin mozzarella. Bread was stale enough to scratch the table. A lot of other places offered better taste and price.
